The CDU Confucius Institute is now offering Chinese calligraphy for beginners, a new course on the CDU Casuarina campus. The workshops will run every Monday, from 5 pm - 6 pm, starting 13 April to 14 June.

Words and Things as Repositories of Hope for Peace and Justice on the Ground
A didgeridoo and a boomerang that once “came to life” in the hands of Charlie Newili Brinken return home after eighty years, and with them, a story that stretches from Wadeye to Japan. Join Elders, scholars, and storytellers as they bring Charlie’s legacy into the present, explore hope as a cultural force, and trace the unexpected diplomatic power of musical heritage. This is a celebration of return, remembrance, and the possibilities of reconciliation.
Respect Matters online study session
Starting in 2026, all CDU students must complete the 90-minute Respect Matters online training on consent and social responsibility, with staff-supported study sessions available to help students navigate the modules and answer questions.

Sound Bath meditation
To conclude Respect Month, CDU students and staff are invited to a free, restorative sound bath meditation featuring crystal singing bowls designed to release tension and promote inner peace.

RIEL Seminar Series – The hidden value in crocodile carcasses: Collagen as the NT’s next bioindustry
