Clare Armitage has spent the last 15 years working in the NT (plus some time in the ACT). Most recently I was CEO of the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre in Katherine. Other positions include Exhibitions Curator at the Library and Archives of the Northern Territory, working with the Touring Exhibitions team at the National Gallery of Australia, and Assistant Curator of Art at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.

Her curatorial practice is driven by an interest in inter-cultural storytelling, and the power of art to connect us.Some previous roles include  She is also passionate about the important role that art plays in individual and community wellbeing.


 

Katie Saunders

Katie Saunders is the Exhibitions and Collections Officer. She is a graduate of a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Hons) at Charles Darwin University, 2006.

With 25 years in the Northern Territory, Katie brings expertise shaped by experience in commercial art galleries and video/multimedia production. A CDU graduate who completed her studies with honours, she is also a practicing visual artist with a strong exhibition record and multiple international residencies across China, Armenia and India. Katie is particularly interested in collection research and care, where she uses artistic insight and hands‑on expertise to support the growth and stewardship of the CDU Art Collection.

Eileen Lim, Exhibitions and Collection Officer, Charles Darwin University Art Collection and Midpul Art Gallery

Eileen Lim is on secondment at Museum and Gallery Northern Territory, in the conservation department. Eileen commenced in 2011 as a volunteer and intern assisting in documentation of the Red Hand Prints gifted to the CDU Art Collection in 2004. She is a graduate of a Bachelor of Creative Arts and Industries (Fine Arts) at Charles Darwin University.
