Aligned with the University-wide Connect, Discover, Grow strategy, the Faculty of Health performs research with purpose, integrity and effective planning and management.
Collaborating closely with the world-leading Menzies School of Health Research, our research spans all areas of health, health-related culture, and the health environment and workforce.
Institutes and centres
Tackling complex challenges demands a multidisciplinary effort, and the Faculty of Health has clustered its research into several multi-disciplinary institutes and centres.
Molly Wardaguga Institute for First Nations Birth Rights
The Molly Wardaguga Institute for First Nations Birth Rights supports women’s cultural and birthing aspirations, particularly in remote locations through research. The centre leverages this research to dismantle the barriers imposed by westernised approaches to birthing and maternal care.
