Dr Oladapo Fabusuyi is a research-active lecturer at the School of Law, Charles Darwin University, Darwin. His research focuses on the intersection of international economic law and sustainable development, with particular attention to the Global South. He has written several articles on international economic law, published in reputable journals. Dr Fabusuyi earned his PhD in International Investment Law from Monash University, supported by two competitive research scholarships—the Monash Graduate Scholarship and the Monash International Postgraduate Research Scholarship. He also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law (with distinction) from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, where he received the prize for the best LLM dissertation among a cohort of approximately 150 students.
Dr Fabusuyi’s research has real‑world impact. In 2022, he led a major research project for the Society of Corporate Governance Nigeria, exploring how ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) precepts can be effectively integrated into corporate culture and operations. The project culminated in publishing a practical handbook titled ‘The Concept of ESG & Board Leadership.’ He serves on the editorial board of the Australian Review of African Studies.
Dr Fabusuyi is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and as an Australian lawyer and officer of the Supreme Court of Victoria. He integrates this transnational legal experience into his teaching and research.
