Frequently asked questions
There are a couple of options depending on if you are an onshore or offshore student.
Students already in Australia (onshore)
The Northern Territory's border opens for domestic travel, with no quarantine period, on 17 July 2020*. All students who are enrolled as on-campus students in the Northern Territory will have some form of on-campus teaching for the November intake. This may be a combination of lectures and/or tutorials and may also include some online learning where appropriate physical distancing cannot be maintained. However, nothing is certain in COVID-19 times and should the Northern Territory Government decide to close our borders, the teaching mode may change.
Students in-country (offshore)
Offshore students will be required to study Summer Semester online. CDU is a leader in distance and e-learning education with 30 years experience in this area. Learn more about what it is like to be an online student with CDU.
*Correct information as of 26 June 2020, noting that students arriving from "hotspots" around Australia will have to quarantine.
If you are a current student at CDU, and you are studying one of the courses available in Summer Semester, you can choose to study during this intake if your units are available. You can find information about available units in your Learnline.
Yes, the first 200 international students to accept an offer to study in CDU’s Summer Semester 2020 (November intake) will be automatically awarded a 10% tuition scholarship. International student visa holding students in Australia should be taking a full-time study load of 40 credit points. However, CDU has the right to reduce study loads on a case-by-case basis to support our students. We will remain flexible, especially as online study may not be the preferred method of study for our international students.
Non-student visa holders and students overseas are able to take their preferred study load online.
