CDU Health Hub Occupational Therapy Service offers a quality and affordable assessment and therapy across the lifespan to the general community.
Services for adults
Occupational therapy students support adults in achieving their goals through tailored individual or group therapy programs, including:
- upper-limb strength and movement
- strategies for daily activity support
- home modifications
- recommendations for assistive technology.
Stroke Bootcamp
Upper limb exercise program
Enhance arm and hand function through evidence-based intensive therapy designed specifically for stroke survivors.
What is the program?
An innovative 5-week intensive rehabilitation bootcamp, delivered by student Occupational Therapists under supervision.
You start with a comprehensive assessment and individual goal-setting appointment.
Throughout the five-week program, a student Occupational Therapist will regularly review your progress against your individual goals to:
- Adjust task difficulty to maintain the right level of challenge
- Modify approaches based on your response to different interventions
- Track improvements in functional tasks that matter to you
At the completion of the bootcamp, you’ll receive a clinical summary report of your progress and a home program to support ongoing gains in upper limb function.
Who is eligible?
- Any person who is 6+ months post-stroke
- Able to participate in 3-hour therapy sessions
- Have some voluntary movement in the affected arm
- Are motivated to improve upper limb function
- Are medically stable for intensive therapy

Fees
$15/session or $375 for 5-week block

Teaching and learning
Occupational Therapy (OT) services will be available on specific dates and delivered by OT students under the supervision of fully accredited and experienced Occupational Therapists.

Duration: May 11 to June 12 (5-week); October 19 to November 20 (5-week)

Delivered by: Occupational Therapy students under professional OT supervision
