University Council Student Positions

Voting is now open for University Council Student Positions

University Council is the governing body of the University and is responsible for the oversight of the University’s affairs, including strategic direction, governance and financial management.

Elections are being held for student positions on Council.  Voting will be open until close of business Sunday 14 November 2021.

One Postgraduate Student Position

Only enrolled postgraduate students of Charles Darwin University (Higher Education and VET) may vote in this election by following the attached link:

Tips for voting

  • You will only be able to vote once for a position.
  • Voting is open 24 hours a day during the voting period.
  • To vote you will need to enter your University log-in and password.
  • Candidates were given the opportunity to submit a brief statement. All statements submitted are available when you place the cursor over the candidate’s name in the voting window.

Please note: It is not necessary to hold an election for the Council postgraduate Student Position this year.

Term of Office

Student members of Council will serve a one year term, commencing 1 January 2022.

Academic Board Student Positions

Voting is now open - Academic Board Student Positions

Academic Board is the peak academic governance body of the University. It is responsible for the University’s academic direction, quality and governance.  

Elections are being held for student positions on Academic Board. Voting will be open until midnight Sunday 14 November 2021.

One Postgraduate Student Position

Only enrolled postgraduate students of Charles Darwin University may vote in this election by following the attached link:

Voting is now open Student Services and Amenities Fees Advisory Committee Student Positions 

The Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF) Advisory Committee considers proposals and makes recommendations for the use of SSAF funding.

Elections are being held for student positions on SSAF.  Voting will be open until midnight Sunday 14 November 2021

One Higher Education International Student Position
