Alina finds her passion for volunteering
Alina found her passion for volunteering while studying at Charles Darwin University. Since then she has founded her own student group, hosted self-defence events, received the Northern Territory Volunteer of the Year award and been named a finalist in the CDU Alumni Awards.

Jolin’s calculated journey to a career she loves
Arriving in Australia from Ho Chi Minh City, Jolin was passionate about furthering her career and expanding on her existing skills. Since studying Master of Professional Accounting at CDU she hasn’t looked back.

Rafat found success in numbers at CDU
Rafat completed a finance degree in Dhaka, Bangladesh and moved to Darwin to pursue her masters with CDU. Rafat’s dream was to work with multinational accounting companies and before graduating with CDU, she secured a full-time job with KPMG.

When Niki returned home to China four years ago after a year of volunteering at CDU’s Confucius Institute, she knew one day she’d be back. Well and truly won over by Darwin, it wasn’t long until Niki returned to study a Master of Teaching.

Born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam, Ellie spent her childhood helping her parents manage their retail store. Ellie chose to study an MBA as she wanted to learn key business skills and surround herself with like-minded individuals.

When Matt was working in the hospitality industry, he thought he had his career all mapped out. But after one too many long shifts, it turns out that wasn’t the case. A desire for change led him back into the classroom, as a student then teacher. Now he teaches others the skills to follow their dreams.
