Benjamin Tan

Dr Tan is the Associate Dean Research and Senior Lecturer in Nursing in the College of Nursing and Midwifery at Charles Darwin University.

He is also the Adjunct Professor in Nursing at Southwest Medical University Hospital.

Dr Tan is a Registered Nurse in Australia, New Zealand and China.

He received his PhD from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and his doctoral training was partially completed at the University of Manchester.

His research background is centred on evidence-based practice for symptom management in patients with cancer and chronic diseases.

He has published more than 50 articles in peer reviewed journals and has participated in over 14 research projects as either principal investigator or co-investigator.

Dr Tan is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing international peer review panel for research grant applications.

He currently serves as a member of the international review panel for several internationally renowned journals, including International Journal of Nursing Studies, Complementary Therapies in Medicine, European Journal of Oncology Nursing, Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice, International Nursing Review, and International Journal of Nursing Sciences.
