This classic Health Qigong - Five Animal Exercise draws inspiration from the natural rhythms of animals, by imitating the natural charm and movements of the five animals: tiger, deer, bear, ape and bird. The tiger form strengthens muscles and bones. The deer form unblocks meridians. The bear form nourishes the spleen and stomach. The ape form flexes joints and relaxes the tendons. The bird form balances breath.

Yi Jin Jing

Trace back to the wisdom of Bodhidharma, the Founder of Shaolin Health Qigong, and continue the thousand-year health-preserving story of Yijin Jing (Muscle-Tendon Changing Classic)! This classic exercise takes stretching tendons and unblocking meridians as its core, inheriting the gentle yet powerful charm of ancient health routines. After modern optimization, it simplifies complex postures, making traditional health preservation no longer difficult to get started with.

During practice, Yijin Jing stretches muscles and tendons, unblocks meridians, strengthens bones, regulates qi and blood, and nourishes internal organs. It can effectively relieve neck, shoulder and back soreness as well as body stiffness caused by prolonged sitting. Adjusting breathing with steady stretching movements also helps reduce anxiety, calm the mind, make the body more flexible and boost vital energy. Whether you are a workplace professional wanting to improve posture from sitting long, a senior citizen desiring gentle health care, or a new health enthusiast seeking practical exercises, you don’t need a special venue—you can practice in spare time. Learn standard moves from professional instructors and integrate health and vitality into daily life.

Sign up now! Nourish your body and mind with the thousand-year-old tendon-strengthening wisdom, and refresh modern daily life with inherited health-preserving essence!

Venue: Casuarina campus, Red Building 02.1.01 - Gulwa/Austin Asche Hall,  Basketball court (TBC)

When: Starting from 14 April till 16 June, 5.30 pm - 6.30 pm, every Tuesday
