Ceremonies
Here at CDU, we are committed to doing everything we can to look after the health and wellbeing of our students and staff and the broader communities that we serve. To do our part in containing the outbreak, we have reviewed all of the events and activities that might put people at risk, and as a result, we can confirm that we will not be holding Graduation Ceremonies as planned in May, June or August this year.
We will still formalise the completion of your course through a process called conferral, but instead of doing this at a public ceremony, we will do it at a University Council meeting.
You will still be issued an official testamur (certificate) that shows the completion of your award.
- You don’t need to take any action to have your completion finalised and your testamur issued.
- Your testamur will be sent to you by mail within two weeks of the conferral.
- Shortly after the conferral, you will also be able to access verified digital copies of your official documents via My eQuals.
- We’ll send notification to your student email address when these documents are available for viewing and sharing.
At a later date, when we are able to do so, we will invite you to celebrate your achievement at a Graduation Ceremony in Darwin, Alice Springs or Adelaide and hope that you bring your family and friends to mark this truly special occasion.
The next conferral of awards will take place at the following council meeting dates:
Council meeting | Includes graduands completed on or before |
16 December 2020 | 30 November 2020 |
18 February 2021 | 5 February 2021 |
